In this seminar I learnt what the point of research is and why I should research. Research helps someone expand their knowledge of the world and helps them to express in their passions and interests. I should research because it will help me develop my skills in the things I am interested in and passionate about. The task we got given was to make us realise that without research you don't know where to start and it is almost impossible to get an answer. We got into pairs and played 20 questions but instead of the normal rules where one can ask questions as they go we had to write down all our questions before we began. Normally people can expand on their questions asked depending on the answer they got on the last question allowing them to ask the right questions to find out what the object is, this is the research part of the exercise. Because we already wrote the questions down and couldn't follow up on the last answer, the information we received was random and all over the place. This represents what would happen if we started a project without any research, we would never get a accurate answer.
Without research a lot more mistakes would be made if its designing a poster or making an animation, it helps us pre plan and perfect our work.
