In this seminar I learnt about convergence: taking two objects that are old or two objects that would never go together and turning it into something new. An example of this is taking children's toys that make sound and alternating their wiring to make them sound completely different and then play sounds simultaneously to create music. What happened here was people took something that worked completely fine but changed it anyway so it has a different use.
Here is an example of convergence: somebody decided to cut out words from a magazine and put them together to form a poem. Taking something that already has a purpose and transforming it into something else giving it another purpose.
